Frequently Asked Questions

My roof is old. Can it handle going solar?

Solar systems have no moving parts, require only minimal maintenance, and are built to last. There are solar systems out there that are over three decades old — and still going strong. If you’re due for a roof replacement, it is best to do so before (or during) installing solar panels, so that the solar panels don’t need to be disturbed when the roof is replaced. If a roof replacement is still several years off, we suggest going solar now. When your roof requires replacing, it is easy to find an installer to uninstall and reinstall the system.
